According to NBC News, a Wall Street big shot bought a 1 foot wide pathway in the Hamptons for $120,000 after a fierce 24 bid & counter bidding war.
And you thought San Diego real estate was pricey? The strip of land in question which was aquired by the county nearly a decade ago is a reportedly 1,885 feet long and just 1 foot wide pathway which cuts through sand dunes to the ocean.
The County offered it to the 6 adjoining landowners which resulted in a bidding war between 2 neighbors with apparently too much money on their hands. The county originally offered the narrow strip for $10.
