Why Veterans Day?

Today is Veterans Day.

Seems like any other day except for the fact that in our country the world some what takes a break from itself and thinks about what some men and women have chosen to do for us. That’s right, for us!

As we wake up every morning from our warm beds, go to our jobs that most of us complain about having in the first place, and continue our self serving way of life, striving for more of anything we can get our hands on, we find a different type of life. One that requires, courage, commitment, patriotism, as well as metal and physical strength.
They sacrificed their well being, their time, and in some cases their lives so that we may live as we do in this great country of ours.
Would you want to be in Iraq right now? Could you handle leaving your wife and kids not knowing if you will be back to hug them once again?
These are the realities that these men and women face for our good.

So as we take today to acknowledge their service, let’s try an remind ourselves that everyday they dedicate to us. Shouldn’t we do the same?

Thank you for your service to our country. We join the rest of the nation on Veterans Day in remembering the sacrifices of America’s 25 million veterans and expressing our appreciation for your service.

On a lighter note here are a few Veterans you might of heard of:
MC Hamer, Al Gore and Mel Brooks.
